That’s a wrap!

After more than 3 decades anchoring the news, Judy’s departure from the news desk made headlines.

After leaving television news in 2014, Judy still felt a calling to tell Austin’s story. She checked one off the bucket list and directed a documentary about the city’s historic shift to single member districts. It aired on KLRU and screened at local theaters.

Here are links to the first ATX Together on KLRU in 2016. Several hundred people, from all walks of life, came together for a town hall to talk about police violence and racial reckoning. Judy co-hosted that vital discussion along with her former co-anchor, Ron Oliveira and community activist/attorney Vincent Harding.

In 2020, ATX Together became a weekly TV program. Judy led panels with diverse, local leaders on timely  issues like homelessness, healthcare inequities and education disparities.
